Explore one of the world’s most exciting culinary destinations in a land rich with history. Our favorite Peru journeys always kick off in Lima, where we spend a few days wetting our palates with it’s rich dining scene, visiting local markets and enjoying pisco tastings. For a true insiders experience, our private hand-on-cooking lessons with some of Peru’s world renewed chefs are a great opportunity to dive deeper into the cuisine and acquire some legitimate ceviche skills.
We then head off to discover the crown jewel of South America’s archaeological legacy – Machupichu. After adjusting for altitude at the magnificent Sacred Valley, there are a variety of ways to get from Cusco to Machichupichu. Our favorite journeys are either a four-day trek along Inca Trail or in the comfort and style of a luxury train via the Urumbamba River. Of course, for those of us fit and adventure enough to make the trek, the mobile camp accommodations, chef meals and on-hand masseuses ensure that the journey is always in the Lux Voyage style! Regardless of the mode in getting there and the sanctuaries where we might rest our heads, one of the most memorable aspect of this journey, beyond the sheer mystery of the ruins, is the ability to come visit the local villages, meet local farmers and witness their centuries-old customs first-hand. There is so much more to explore and taste of Peru..let us take you there!
